As Myst finishes her sparring she decides to go
out of the Keep for a while. She tells the groom to
ready Champ. A few minutes later he brings Champ over
to her. She mounts up and heads out the gates. She
decides to head west tward Rivervale and find out about
these bandits. She doubts they would be much of a
challenge for her but then again a real fight would be fun.
After two hours she comes upon a few buildings located
just outside the city walls. She identifies one right
away. The brothel the guards spoke of. She decides to
go in and see for herself what these people are
like. She dismounts Champ and taps his back end. "I
will whistle if I need you my friend, go run and get
some excercise." Champ whinnies and takes off. She
runs her hand across the hilt of her sword with a
slight smile playing across her face. She opens the door
and walks inside.
The stench of the place
made her want to puke. She looked around and she
noticed her enterance made everyone stop and stare at
her. She liked this...easier to pick the targets. Two
very smelly toothless men came up to her
smiling."Ah...a new conquest," one of them said. "Even better
than the one from last night," said the other. Myst
glared at them "I suppose you think you could conquere
me. I would enjoy the challenge." One of the men
grabbed her arm and pulled as if he was trying to lead
her somewhere. But Myst's body didn't move. He looked
up at her,"come wench,I want a taste of you." She
just grinned and without him even seeing she drew her
dagger and thrust it into his chest with one hand
holding him up with the other. She let him go and the man
slumped to the floor. The other man gasped then looked at
her with an evil grin."You won't get me that easily
woman." He pulls a dagger and lunges at her. She spins to
the right allowing the dagger to pass, but as she
comes around she is able to grab his arm just below the
shoulder. Then she draws her sword and with one swift
stroke cleaves his belly open spilling his guts on the
floor. She lets go and he falls to the floor. The rest
of the men begin to rise and are moving tward her,
yelling "Die wench" and "I will kill you". But, somehow
over the noise she hears the faint sound of a baby
crying. She can tell the door the sound is coming from.
One of the rooms on the lower floor near the outside
wall. She decides to fight later that this sound needs
further investigation. She drops and rolls backwards then
springs up and out the door. She whistles loudly and a
few seconds later Champ comes running. She grabs the
horn as he reaches her and she swings upon his back
just as the door opens and several men come running
out with swords in hand. She heads out to the trees
and disappears. The men give chase but soon quit
knowing they wouldn't be able to keep up on foot, and
none of their horses are nearby to go after her. They
go back inside and toss the bodies of the men
outside a back door to a pit where two very large
aligators are. Within minutes they devour the two bodies.
