After her meal and bath Myst entered her
quarters. Suddenly her eyes widened and mouth opened...but
no words came out. She couldn't believe what she was
seeing. The room had been changed since her last visit.
The entire room was filled with plants and furniture
that looked like it was from the region where Myst
came from. The solid mohagany bed and large trunk at
the foot of it were carved with intricate details.
The designs were of her own emblem and those of her
tribe. The corner nearest the window was set up with a
incense burner and rug for meditating. The walls were
decorated with several different types of weapons of the
region she is from.
She thought she was seeing
things.Myst couldn't believe it. Sabre had decorated her room
to look more like Myst's old home with plants and
furnishings brought in from The Amazon Jungle area. Her head
dropped down and a single tear fell down her cheek. After
all that she just went through and now to see this,
Myst was over whelmed. She took a deep breath and then
crawled into bed. She didn't know what she was goin to
say to her friend when she returned.
She fell
asleep very easily and slept well into the morning. She
was awakened by a knock at the door. One of the
servants from the kitchen brought her a tray of food. Myst
thanked her and ate her fill. As she finished she looked
about the room again. Still unable to believe her
eyes, thinking it was all a dream. But it wasn't. It was very
real. She looked about the room with a smile. She got
out of bed and looked out the window. A beautiful day
was begining. She dressed and went downstairs and
outside to see what was happening, if
anything.
She overheard one of the patrols talking and they
mentioned seeing a group...possibly bandits heading past
the edges of the swamps last evening. They had a
woman with them. They couldn't see who it was but they
were sure she was going to be put to work at the
brothel outside Rivervale. Myst grunted to herself,
thinking the woman deserved what she got for not fighting
her way out of the hands of a few pittyful bandits.
Mystique would soon regret those thoughts when she
discovers who the woman is.
She made her way to the
stables to check on Champ and see that her instructions
were carried out. She called to the stable boy from
yesterday. He came over and showed her the cleaned saddle
and tack. He said he fed and groomed Champ just as
she instructed. She checked Champ over and was
satisfied. She decided to spend the rest of the morning
sparring with two of the guards.
