Looking at the map, Soul begins to lay out his
plans. "From what I saw in Thelindira, we can expect
little help from there. We field a small force against
such an army, so we must use our wits. Telleriana,
Kethol, and Penelbrand, you will use your scouts to
harass the Orcs' forward elements. Hit them from all
sides, whittle them down, make them think we are larger
than we are. I will send word to the Hill Dwarves to
the east. With a group of Dwarves, a small contingent
of guards, and Ahrmin's 'riders, we will take up
blocking positions just inside the edge of the swamp.
Valerin and Makeri, your cavalry will ride around near
the lake's edge to attack the flanks, rear and
support lines. The slaves might be able to aid us if we
can free them. Have I missed
anything?"
Captain Blackfist spoke up. "What if a force should
bypass your positions and lay seige to the keep? Will
their be a way to contact you for reinforcements,
sire?"
"Once the battle is engaged, I will release
Penelbrand's group to serve as runners. They will remain
outside the gates to in sure freedom of action." The
halfling nodded in agreement. Soul continued, "I expect
should a seige be attempted, you'll have enough trouble
controlling my wife. I'm not such a fool that I will order
you to keep her out of the fight. THAT would be nigh
impossible. Just try to keep her from doing something
unnecessarily dangerous. She can be a handful, but she IS good
in a fight." It was the Captain's turn to nod.
"Anything else? Then let's get to it! Good luck to all!
Dimissed." All rose as their liege exited.
