strings of her cloak, Krys shook her shoulders slightly sending it to the ground. Readying herself for his attack, she hurled the dagger towards him. Watching closly as it found its target, well just under actually, The orc screamed out as the dagger embedded itself just to the left of his stomach.
Swearing softly to herself,
"Great, now all you did was tick him off".
Krys didn't have time to wonder when the last time she had practice was, the angry orc pulled the dagger from him, closing the distance, he came at her, first sending the dagger back at her, then swinging his axe fast and furious towards her head. Slipping down, Krys felt dagger slip into her leg as the wind from his axe blew the hair across the top of her head. Crawling back a bit quickly, Krys screamed as she pulled at the daggerin her leg. Unable to pull it out, she reached for another dagger.
Othello came to life seeing his mistress being attacked by the smelly thing, barking, he ran up behind the beast and clamped down on the back of his calf. Backing up,Othello shook his head back and forth fast, pulling on the beasts flesh as he did. The breast stopped, he began shaking his leg trying in vain to get the dog off him, Othello hanging on for dear life, his jaws locked.
Taking her cue, Krys jumped up at the beast, her dagger at the ready. As his axe swung down at the offending dog, Krys grabbed at it with one hand, as she yelled at Othello to let go, her dagger this time finding its mark. The orc stumbled back, dropping his axe in mid stroke , his hands going to his chest. Krys picked up the axe, slicing it as best she could at his stomach. The wail that sounded was of a beast in pain.
Krys quickly called to Othello as she ran as fast as she could away from the orc.Her leg throbbing with each step, but she knew she couldn't stop, to do so would be her death as 7 more orcs cleared the trees where they had come from. Othello ran close to Krys.
With only one dagger left, that being the one in her leg, Krys knew she had to get to help, but where. It slowly dawned on her that she wasn't that far from Soul and Sabre's keep hoping she could make it in time, Krys re entered the swamp, first looking back to see if they were being followed. She saw the orcs standing over their pain ridden friend, two looking her way.
Cursing her luck again, she knew they would follow, she made her way thru the dence undergrowth. She knew her only chance lay in reaching the keep....
